IntelliMover "Shell Execute Failed" Error

Windows Vista is very particular regarding the digital signatures associated with a software application. IntelliMover Version 4.53 has a signature issue when running on Vista. The following error may appear during an attempt to launch IntelliMover on Windows Vista:

"Shell Execute Failed: A referral was returned from the server."

A patch is being developed, however to resolve this issue immediately, you can temporarily set your computer’s date back to June 1, 2007. Either of the following steps will allow you to adjust the date:

• On the task bar, right-clicking the clock and select "Adjust date"
• From the Start Menu, select Control Panel | Clock | Set Date

The above steps will allow you to run IntelliMover on your Vista Computer and continue the migration. After the migration, you should restore the date to the current date.
