  1. What are the IntelliMover system requirements?

    The requirements for each computer are as follows:

    • Keyboard/Mouse
    • 32 MB RAM
    • 50 MB hard drive space
    • CD-ROM drive (downloadable version available upon request)
    • Old computer with Microsoft XP or later
    • New computer with Microsoft XP or later

  2. Does IntelliMover support 64-bit operating systems?

    Yes

  3. Will IntelliMover delete the files on my old computer?

    No. IntelliMover will not delete or erase any files from your computer.

  4. Will IntelliMover transfer installed programs?

    The IntelliMover program will in fact move all your data; however, it will not move your applications. We currently do not move programs for the following reasons:

    1. Possible violation of the program's End User Licensing Agreement, which may stipulate a requirement that it can only be run on a single machine at any given time.
    2. Possible issues with compatibility; some applications were designed for specific operating system versions like Windows XP. Newer operating systems like Windows Vista or Windows 7 may not be compatible with all legacy applications (or vice versa).
    3. Copying or moving applications could harm your system or the data on your new machine, especially if you have used your new machine for some period of time. The copying or moving the applications could overwrite your critical information you have created on the new system.
    4. It is always safer and cleaner to reinstall applications from a CD.
  5. What programs are supported by IntelliMover?

  6. Will duplicate files be overwritten or deleted during transfer?

    No files are lost or overwritten during the migration process. If you have files on both the old and new computer with the same name, IntelliMover will identify whether or not they are different. If they are, the file on the new computer will be renamed according to the following format: "Original copy of [filename]".

  7. How can I upgrade to the latest version of IntelliMover?

    If your purchase was within the last 6 months, you can upgrade to the latest version of IntelliMover free of charge by submitting a Ticket to the support department. You will be required to provide proof of purchase.

    If your purchase is outside of the free upgrade period, you can purchase an upgrade to the latest version for 50% off the regular price. To obtain the discount, submit a Ticket to the support department.

  8. How many times can I use IntelliMover?

    You can use IntelliMover to transfer from one old computer to many new computers. You can transfer as many times as you would like from that one old computer.

    If you need to transfer from more "old" computers, you'll need to purchase more copies of the software.

  9. Will IntelliMover move my music files?

    Yes.
