What’s new on Move2Mac version 5.0?

Move2Mac version 5.0 can migrate your files and settings from Windows XP or Windows Vista to Mac OS X 10.5 and higher through the network (wired/wireless) or any external USB drive.

Increased Transfer Rate

• WIFI G: 1 GB in 10 minutes
• Wired Network: Results will vary upon PC/Mac network adapter and network router

Folder Structure Preservation

Move2Mac moves relevant folders from the PC to the Mac and preserves the folder structure. For example, the Window’s folder "My Documents," its contents, and its subfolders, are moved to the Mac and placed in the appropriate "Documents" folder.

Email Migration

Move2Mac will move and convert the e-mail messages, address book and calendar from Outlook on the PC to Mac OSX 10.5 Apple Mail.

Note: for those using Entourage, a folder named "Data to Import" will be placed on the Mac Desktop to import into Microsoft Entourage.

File Transfer FAQ's

1. Does Move2Mac convert PC files to Mac format?

   Move2Mac transfers files from the PC to the Mac. Move2Mac does not move applications or convert PC files to Mac format. Most applications, which have a PC version and a Mac version (like Microsoft Office), can open PC files on the Mac without any conversion.

2. Will Move2Mac move files from the Mac to the PC?

   Move2Mac only moves files from the PC to the Mac.

3. Can I use Move2Mac for migrations on more than one computer?

   A single user license of Move2Mac allows multiple migrations from one, and only one, specific PC to any number of Macs. To migrate from another PC requires an additional copy of Move2Mac.
   Volume license packs of Move2Mac are available.

4. Does Detto have a solution to move files from one PC to another?
